Two Men, One Dream: From the Philippines to Pecos
The sun rises over Pecos, Texas, spilling gold across the desert. A dusty road cuts through the quiet morning, and down that road rumbles an old pickup pulling a battered trailer—the future home of something no one in town knows they need yet.
Jonathan and Ogie arrived in Pecos, Texas, with little more than their recipes and a stubborn belief that good food could build community. They started a home-based retail business selling and delivering homemade lumpia, pancit, and whatever Filipino comfort food they could cook on a single stove.
Word spread fast. Locals kept coming back, not just for the flavors but for the warmth these two brought with every plate. Soon, the little store couldn’t keep up.
So they leveled up.
They bought an old trailer, fixed it up piece by piece, and turned it into Pecos’ first Filipino food truck. Bright colors, sizzling sounds, and the smell of garlic rice drifting through the West Texas air became their signature.
Now, parked proudly in town, Jonathan and Ogie serve the community that welcomed them—sharing the taste of home while building a new one. They serve hope. They serve heritage.
Two men. One journey. A food truck that rose from nothing but grit, hunger, and heart.
